Forest mural on 28′ X 8′ wall
CommercialThe project for the Wallace Critical Care Unit at the Children’s Medical Center presented its own set of unique challenges. I was given 7 boards, each 4′ wide by 8′ high to create a mural 28′ long by 8′ high. I painted the boards offsite and they were installed on completion. My task was to make it seamless, so a person looking at it wouldn’t see the joint lines but see the overall scene instead. I accomplished this by creating different single, or clumps of, trees at each junction. Can you tell where the boards meet?

Hi there, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just wondering if you get a lot of spam comments? If so how do you protect against it, any plugin or anything you can suggest? I get so much lately it’s driving me crazy so any assistance is very much appreciated.

We just started getting a lot of spam comments, and we are beginning to look into how to stop it. If we figure it out, we’ll post the solution. Thanks for your comment.

Hello there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it

Thank you for your comment. We are using WordPress as our blogging platform, and have installed the Akismet plug-in to help us handle the spam comments we began receiving. It’s done a tremendous job. Whatever blogging platform you are using, I’d search the website for a plug in, or surf the web for that information. Good Luck!

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a excellent job with this. Also, the blog loads very quick for me on Chrome. Superb Blog!

Heya just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.

Thanks for your comment. We are using a free template customized to match our website with WordPress. Most of the blogging platforms include information for beginners and help for getting started. We decided to go with WordPress because of the many free templates available, plus the ease in which you can customize them. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

Thanks for your comment. We did experience problems with spam until we downloaded the Akismet plug-in available to WordPress users. It’s working very well to reduce the spam we have to deal with. Good Luck!
